This path leads to a barn on the back of this property. It seemed to speak to me on this rainy, gloomy day. I painted this oil on linen mounted on a 15 x 15 board. 

I pass this little church along the highway going to Nashville. I have seen it so many times but this day the sun was shining brightly.. 

October Morning

This is a painting from a Bible Camp location out on Sand Mountain. I went a couple of years ago with a group of watercolorists.. We had a wonderful day and gorgeous weather. 

Because of the very rainy day, I painted inside today. This is a small 6 x 6 oil of an old barn over in the valley near Jasper, Tn. I really like to paint barns. This one had such character and that made it fun. 

In the Afternoon

This little painting was done from a plein air study from a week ago. This one is on some new linen canvas that I am trying ..  Like it so far.. 8 x 6 oil.. May end up doing a larger one from this scene..

A Chill in the Air

I went back to the Nature Center last week.. It was early and very chilly! I decided it was just too cold to get out my paints so I took some pictures. This is the scene from that morning that I painted in the studio

Red and Yellow!

The "traveling paints" were at it again today. Too pretty not to get out while we can. Just truly a gorgeous day around here.
